These turkey burgers are my latest obsession! I made these for dinner a bunch of nights because they're super satisfying and I've just been craving burgers, but I like the texture and taste of ground turkey better than ground beef. This dinner came together in about 5 minutes of prep time and 15 minutes of cooking time, so it was pretty quick!
I've even been snacking on the leftovers since these are an amazing protein-rich, grab-n-go snack that keeps my blood sugar steady and fills me up in between meals.
Turkey is a great protein choice. It's rich in B vitamins, minerals like selenium, choline, and zinc, and it's higher in protein than chicken (1 cup has about 33 grams of protein 😱)
1 kilo or 2.2 lbs ground turkey
2 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce
2 tbsp dijon mustard
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced very small
2 tbsp mayo (use olive oil or avocado oil mayonnaise- I like the one from Chosen Foods)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Toppings and Side Suggestions:
Perfectly runny sunny side up eggs
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Using your hands, a 1/4 cup measuring cup, or a hamburger press like this one, shape the meat mixture into patties.
Cook on the grill or a grill pan over medium heat for about 6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through.
Assemble your burger with toppings + sides and enjoy!
Note: These freeze well in an airtight container for up to 3 months! #mealprepgoals
